Judy McLean Custom Interiors was begun in 1996 with a focus on custom window fashions. The business has expanded into a full-service interior design business. Judy McLean's education includes a B.S. degree from UNC-P and Certification from Sheffield School of Interior Design.

Judy McLean has participated in IDS Showhouses, as well as the 2010 Charlotte Symphony Guild Designer House. Judy's work is also featured in Charlotte Designs, a coffee-table book published to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity. Judy's space in the 2013 Charlotte Spring Home and Garden show won the "People's Choice" award.
